butterflies drinking the tears of a Yellow Spotted River turtle in the Amazon. It is believed the salty liquid is needed to help them produce. The endangered yellow-spotted river turtle cannot easily brush the salty liquid away, while the insects need sodium in its diet. In addition to sodium, tears also contain proteins that could represent a high-quality resource throughout the year.

Royal starfish(Astropecten articulatus) normally found along the southeast coast of the United States, is a carnivore animal, feeding on small molluscs, which are captured by the arms of the star and into the mouth, where they are swallowed whole.

i think ive had like, my 1000th nightmare of losing cats in some horrible situation and trying to find them/make sure they’re not dead.
this time giant dinosaurs from space attacked the earth and i was stuck in a really outdated mecha, that was being tracked by a giant t-rex. constant attacks when it would find us with its army. it went on for like 3 days in-dream. the mecha was similar to rivet city in that it was like a town. all my cats were on board but one (who was dead) and i spent the entire time running around trying to find them, carrying them to safe places and locking the doors and hoping no one lets them out. then i go look for the other cats. i always end up yelling for taco and crying in my sleep and whimpering, and shit. and when i carry the cats they’re always extremely heavy. dreams are fucked up
